The Fishing

The Amazon Awaits: A Paradise for Anglers

The Amazon beckons with an incredible diversity of fish, offering an unforgettable experience for bait, lure and fly fishing enthusiasts. This is THE mecca for Giant Wolfish, renowned for their aggressive nature and fighting prowess:

Lure Fishing Extravaganza:

  • Explosive Action: Target ferocious fighters like the Giant Wolfish/Trairão, Xingu Peacock Bass, huge Bicuda, Payara/Vampire Fish and big Piranha on lures or flies, experiencing heart-pounding strikes and blistering runs. Matrinchá and Payara (Vampire Fish) will also test your skills.

  • Expect the Unexpected: For fast-water species like Bicuda and Payara, strong gear are a must to handle their lightning-fast attacks that can rip line off your reel at an alarming pace.

  • Wolfish Explosions: Using topwater lures, you can experience some of the most explosive strikes and arm-wrenching runs.
  • Peacock Bass Paradise: Peacock Bass congregate around the rocky islands and banks, readily attacking lures and flies with fierce determination.

Fly Fishing Nirvana:

  • Effortless Elegance: Fly fishing is a rewarding way to target many Amazonian species. Experience the grace and precision of this technique as you cast to a variety of fish.

Bait Fishing Bounty:

  • Monster Catfish and Wolfish: Cut bait and live bait become irresistible for Wolfish and a wide range of catfish species, including the Lince Cats, Flat Whiskered Cats, Leopard Cats, Surubim Cats, Redtail Cats and more. These “monsters of the deep” will put up a fight you won’t forget.
