Pescada or Corvina (Plagioscion squamosissimus) is also known as The Freshwater Croaker and Silver Drum and is a close relation to the American Redfish.
This chunky fish is often taken in deeper lagoons and rivers of the Amazon and are plentiful in Lake Guri and Highland rivers and streams and they can be caught on small-medium deep-diving baits, jigs, flies and spinnerbaits.
They grow up to 20lbs and their white meat is sweat and flaky.
