Black Piranha - Amazon Fish

Black Piranha (Serrasalmus rhombeus) are the largest and most aggressive of all the Piranha species. They are like bodybuilders on steroids and are completely gray and black.

The black Piranha is simply huge (to 8.5lbs) and with their amazingly strong set of jaws, full of serrated, triangular gnashers, just like in the movies! These are what nightmares are made of.

They are very easy to catch in some of the rivers with lures and cutbait and make the best Cat fish bait, either whole or in fillets. Their teeth are often used by the Indians to cut hair and trim materials to make clothes.
